Harvest Party (aka Halloween, but they have to be PC)
Doug and I attended my MOMS Club anual Harvest Party last night. Our little witch was ready to party, and we enjoyed talking to the other moms and dads, and letting the kids run and be wild! Read more...

A Weekend at the Carbaugh's
Saturday mornings started out with errands and Marinara prep. Gerry (Doug's mom) and I grew tomatoes this summer in the hopes of canning marinara. As typical with Northwest summers, our growing started late. It was just after 4th of July the weather warmed enough to grow tomatoes. However, it left little time for them to grow. Gerry had the greatest success with Roma's and our tomatoes were okay. We started harvesting around the beginning of September, and took the last harvest the first week of October. Typical of Northwest weather, you never know what you are going to get, and we are having a beautiful fall.

Eventually, we had two pots of Marinara.
Two pots of Marinas turned into 8 quart jars. We ate one last night!
On Sunday, we went for a drive to Elma to check out some hotels for Doug's hunting trip next week. We ended up at some beautiful parks and just enjoying our fall weather.

10 days ago....
Sunshine's dad came from California to visit us. We had a ton of fun together, and here are some of the pictures we took.
